What will I DO in this blog?
In Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, his philosophy can be distilled into the process of emotionally creating the white-hot heat of desire, and the process of putting that heat in the direction that it is best used, a plan for execution. Funnily enough, that can also be subordinated to desire, as you tell the subconscious, through the desire, to formulate the plan. It is then advised to do this, as the consciousness is less reliable than the subconscious connection with the 'infinite intelligence'.
But relatively similarly, this blog serves as a journal. If its' intention is to "share my insights in the continuous journey of self-improvement", then what is the plan to do so? The current, new insights? Only ones after now? Every insight that I have ever had access to? In the name of consistent content, it would make sense to have this placed closer to the latter.
(Previously, we discussed the usefulness of a desire for outside attention, it creating a greater requirement for quality than would otherwise be strictly necessary. In addition, this offers an opportunity; previously procrastinated work of quality, such as composites of mental principles, can become major articles, offering multiple incentives, the quality of the finished product, the attention, and the closure for doing so. Procrastination is a problem, and this is one solution.)
In addition, what would be written about? At the moment, it seems closest to a previous way I used to distribute content. In a private Discord server, I placed essays about various topics in the chat. I got a small, but very enjoyable response. This will probably be the same thing; essays about SI topics, or just generally interesting topics. As the body of work expands, so will the cross-references, and this could be an opportunity to link over when they are utilized.
In the plan, the parts about monetization, and advertising, as served by other interests in my mind, are conspicuously absent. This is an intentional move. Both of these do not have a role. Advertising will subvert the original purpose, of importing thoughts of interest, and re-writing them in higher quality. Instead of that, it will become primarily attention-focused, as my actions demonstrate the priorities.
But do not be saddened by the cynical sentiment of the blog's effective invisibility. The content can be just as well available to only those who know me, and serve as an impetus for discussions. Assuming they are paying attention, and care to discuss on this level. That might not be the case, of course, life deals a tough hand. But the perception of attention works just as well; the impetus of writing on a public platform to writing is as useful as
It would be best to think of this like a sort of combination of the Discord, the older linked essays, and whatever new ideas come along. I'll write a few below.
- Notes on whatever redpill stuff is of interest.
- Weekly digests, on my goals, and thoughts, written for me.
- Digging through the archives, and recovering thoughts of interest, polishing, and publishing them.
- Your Idea Here!
This is turning into a series!
